Summers here already
It’s been some time since our last post and thankfully this is as a direct result of being busy. Certainly a welcome change from the latter half of 2009. This year has seen us involved in a range of projects from live action and animated corporate production through to broadcast development and production management.
The longest project started at the tail end of last year and was a series of four animated films produced with the help of a group of young people aimed at young people. The series is yet to be launch and unfortunately until that time we’re unable to give too much away. The concept was to use a simple 2D animated solution to tackle a range of issues from teenage pregnancy through to depression. This was a great project to work on as it saw us working once again with one of a favorite and funniest Producers.
We’ve also been involved with collaborating with long term friends here in Bristol who already enjoy an international reputation within the Natural History program making genre. We’ve been pleased to assist with the production management of a stunning new two-parter commissioned by National Geographic which shows in graphic representation some of the more unusual aspects of the worlds oceans. More details to follow.
We’ve been pleased to have been involved in the return of the renowned Bristol Animation Festival as part of the Encounters Film Festival this year. The line up promises to be a stunner and there’s still time to take a look and get involved.
Like kids in a sweet shop the upgrades to some of our favourite software has been too irresistible with Smith Micro Software really cranking up the competition with version 7 of Anime Studio Pro our favourite 2D animation software. Powerful features such as a bone rigging system, integrated lip-synching, 3D shape design, physics, motion tracking and more make life just that little bit easier. We’re pleased to have supported this from it’s earliest beginnings.
Our live action, corporate output has seen us working on subjects as diverse as student volunteering programs to high end motor vehicle marketing.
