Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Green Lit Media from Pete Levy on Vimeo.

Well, nearly time to pack up for 2009. The year got off to a credit crunch induced slow start but thankfully picked up a full head of steam. We have enjoyed working with our existing clients as well as working with some new ones. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them for trusting us with their work. We’ve enjoyed working on both broadcast and corporate projects this year from live action to animation. From Scrapheap Challenge to educational films for schools to commercial promotional material. 2009 also saw our two short films do well in the short film festival circuit around the world and pick up some awards along the way.

We’ve welcomed the opportunity to pitch for a number of high profile projects, some we won and some we didn’t. For those pitches we lost we know we always gave a good account of ourselves and are thankful that at least we lost to great competition. To those companies who pipped us to the post, all of whom are our friends here in Bristol we would like to say ‘well done and good luck’. Here’s to us all pitching together again in 2010.

A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone with whom we’ve worked this year and to everyone who supported us.

All that remains is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New year.

Scrapheap Challenge

Scrapheap

Green Lit Media’s latest project is now on our screens.

Dick Strawbridge returns with the new series of Scrapheap Challenge on Channel 4 each Sunday evening. Produced here in Bristol by RDF Television with Executive Producer Jane Lomas. Teams compete each week to construct a junk machine, using only what they can scavenge from the scrapheap. Every series builds to a final contest – and the crowning of a champion team.

Green Lit Media produced the animated inserts to explain the engineering processes behind each teams builds. The animation was produced using Anime Studio Pro with at least three explanatory elements throughout each series. Pete levy says, " This was a great series to work on with some great designs. The production team, led by series producer John Macnish provided us with the overall designs and it was down to us to represent these in an easy to understand ‘hand drawn’ manner.

Watch again if you missed it here.
